Miles Jones, a junior at Oakland Tech in California, placed second in his boys varsity section at the 39th Phil Wilder Mariner Cross Country Invitational at Hayward High in Hayward, Calif. Jones covered the 3-mile course in 15:10.98, as Oakland Tech finished fourth overall with 143 points.
